We offer a variety of treatment options to our patients, including:

Chiropractic Manipulation:

The doctors are highly skilled in chiropractic manipulation for the correction of spinal misalignment, and subluxation/fixation complexes. Special adjusting tables are used which are designed for patient comfort. Specialized tables are available for treatment of invalids, pregnant women, and patients with other special conditions.

PulStar Treatment/Analysis System:

Many patients prefer our new low force adjusting and analyses technique utilizing the revolutionary noninvasive PulStar mobilizing and analysis unit. This new system enables our clinicians to provide precisely controlled mobilization impulses and objectively analyze the compliance of spinal joints, --- Safely and Gently correcting spinal misalignments and subluxation/fixation complexes.

Intersegmental Traction:

Patients often refer to intersegmental traction as the "magic fingers treatment." This type of therapy is effective for reducing fixations, restoring elasticity of tissues, and speeding up recovery time. It encourages longevity of results and is a very positive factor in treating low back problems. It is often utilized ancillary to chiropractic manipulation

Interferential Electrical Muscle Stimulation:

This new type of electro therapy utilizes an alternating current to produce a ‘Beat’ or low frequency stimulation current deep in the tissue of the affected area. This adjunctive therapy is useful in helping to relieve pain, reduce swelling, promote healing, reduce muscle spasms, restore normal range of motion, increase blood & lymph flow, and many other beneficial responses.

Diathermy:

Diathermy is a deep heat method of aiding circulation and in so doing, helps speed up the healing process and reduce recovery time. Diathermy is frequently recommended for such conditions as bronchitis, prostatitis, muscle spasms, certain types of headaches, and is frequently utilized anciliary to chiropactic manipulation.

Biomechanical and Posture Analysis, Bilateral Weight Distribution:

The Extent to which the spine can move freely and easily - bending, turning, stretching - is an indication of the tone, elasticity, and general health of the spine, along with its controlling muscles and ligaments. Restricted spinal movements could mean that the spine, muscles, and ligaments may have suffered injury or degeneration.

When spinal distortion or imbalance exists, further diagnostic testing is needed to identify the cause. Two new diagnostic devices, The Dynatron Equailizer, and the Pnue Map, are used at Englewood Family Chiropractic to help detect and analyze structural distortions and spinal imbalance. The computerized printouts generate important information on the functioning of the spine and supporting structures.

Axial Traction:

Patients find this a very relaxing treatment which produces marvelous results in the treatment of back pain, stiffness of muscles and joints, disc problems, contractures, fixations, and the displacement of internal organs. It is also utilized ancillary to chiropractic manipulation.

DTS Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression*:

DTS spinal decompression is a leading non-surgical alternative for treatment of disc related syndromes of the lumbar and cervical spine. This pain free alternative has shown a very high rate of success (86-92%) at reducing or even eliminating back and neck pain. Therapy on a disc DTS decompression table creates negative pressures inside the herniated, bulging, or deteriorating disc letting it retract naturally, thus relieving disc pressure on spinal nerves.
